Spirituality Sunday Series

Happy Sunday Everyone! I hope you all are having a wonderful weekend!

In continuation of my Spirituality Sunday Series, here is a quote from my daily devotional that resonated with me this week, a key takeaway, and a spirituality challenge that will hopefully support you with your spiritual health for this week ahead.

Quote:

"Take nothing for granted, not even the rising of the sun. When you focus on what you don't have or on situations that displease you, your mind also becomes darkened. You take for granted life, salvation, sunshine, flowers, and countless other gifts from Me. You look for what is wrong and refuse to enjoy life until that is "fixed". When you approach Me with thanksgiving, the Light of My Presence pours into you, transforming you through and through. Walk in the Light with Me by practicing the discipline of thanksgiving".

Takeaway:

This was a reminder of how powerful gratitude is. When we are under stress or facing challenges, it's so easy to look at all the negatives. However, this will only heighten our stress levels and cause even more adversity in our lives. If we can take even a minute to reflect on some of the blessings we have such as: a roof over our head, to be alive and breathing, our health, our family and friends, clean water, food, etc. it can help change our perspective for the better. We will be able to see what truly matters and what doesn't, and it will help with lowering our stress levels and breaking down our barriers. This passage encouraged me to want to practice more gratitude this week, not sweat the small stuff, be more present with Him, and appreciate all the simple things I often take for granted.

I'm curious to know, what is your biggest takeaway? Please feel free to comment here, message me directly, or share with your family and friends.
